CAR Renaissance Foundation works in Central African Republic a landlocked nation within the interior of the African continent. It is bordered by Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Republic of the Congo.
C.A.R. is a country slightly smaller than Texas with an estimated 260,000 of the population living with AIDS and 23,000 have perished from it. The risk for disease is very high and illnesses include Bacterial Diarrhea, Hepatitis A and B, Typhoid fever, Malaria, and respiratory diseases.
School facilities are so poorly maintained that classes are cancelled when it rains due to leaks in the building, and everyday supplies such as writing utensils that we take for granted are not so easily provided for students.
We believe that improving clinics and rebuilding schools will in turn create more jobs and give people of CAR hope for a better tomorrow and future.
C.A.R Renaissance Foundation has for mission to fight poverty and provide hope and much needed resources to C.A.R's most vulnerable and at risk population: children, women and unemployed young men. Our effort is focused on prevention and emergency relief responses. We aim to provide efficient and sustainable short and long term solutions through our Education & Training, Health & Child Care, and Emergency Relief Programs.
